Description:
GTMovies is a Django-based web app to explore all your favorite moveis! Not only you can see various movies, you can write reviews for the public, and then purchase movies of your choice. All pages have interactive buttons allowing the user to easily navigate acrosss the different screens. Firstly, the about screen showcases the basics of the website to the user. Login & Sign-Up pages facilitate other key aspects of the user story, allowing users to create accounts and log in, allowing userds to access order data. The Movies page not only allows users to view movies, but once a movie is clicked, you can write reviews and add them to your cart. These reviews can be edited and reported. Once, users are satisfied with their selection, they can go to their cart and purchase their set of movies. From an admin perspective, there is also several data management features for movies, reviews, and orders.
This is all hosted on python everywhere: https://senorbunbun.pythonanywhere.com/, allowing ease of access!
Process:
My main approach was using the textbook Django for the Impatient, as much of the code and its explanations were already present in the textbook, which allowing building the app to be very intuitive. When I ran into a problem, I used debugging statements and verified syntax, as many issues were sourced in formatting issues.Â
